Crafting with chocolate! I'd never ventured into edible crafts til last year, for holiday treats. Mavel brought back a chocolate-covered stick from Switzerland where she'd had a whole wall to choose from -- every variety of chocolate dippers you could ever desire. "Why can't we do this ourselves?" No reason, none at all.
I first thought I'd use ice cube trays for the molds, but they didn't quite give me enough chocolate for a whole cup of whipped goodness. I found these little molds at Ross, meant for making frozen shot glasses.

The perfect size for three different flavors of chocolate: Peppermint, Spicy (cardamom, cinnamon & cayenne), and Original (plain, dark chocolate). I coated the plastic with a heavy load of olive oil, poured my chocolate mixture in. Then I placed a cinnamon stick on the "Spicy" and crushed candy cane on the Peppermint, mostly to help me remember which was which, but they made a pretty touch of decoration. Then I placed the popsicle sticks and froze the chocolate for at least 4 hours. Then I pull, carefully, while twisting a little, wrapped 'em, added ribbon & a cute little tag. Christmas gifts for all!
